Joining Little Scouts

So a Little Scout troop is being started here locally - https://fetlife.com/groups/144714. We went to the first meeting. At first we thought Kiara might do the scout thing, because she's social and stuff, but I think it's too big-kid for her (she said it's boring and a lot of thinking and work). But it might be just the right thing for me to be social without having to do pain/kink/adult stuff that I'm not really comfortable doing. So I'm joining and going to try things.
Some ideas I'm having so far:

• make a leather sash, with the help of my Mister - we've started talking about this - there's a leather crafting patch for that
• I found a brick-building patch - definitely going to want to earn that somehow
• others have already earned a Zoo patch - I can go earn that one by myself though

It seems like a natural thing to look for a patch for teaching stuff, but that's not me doing the teaching. I think I'd like to keep the Scouts as specifically me, so things that I earn, not just anyone in the system. Now, that means I'll earn stuff slower than other scouts, because I'm time-sharing for the body. But I'll keep that in mind and try not to compare my progress to other people.
Some things will require that other alters co-earn it with me. Like if we do a trip or something, I can't stay out 24 hours a day for that. But I'll try to be out front for the important parts.
