Getting Started

August 23, 2017

I've started on some of my patches & badges.

Some are troop badges/patches/pins I'm going to get:
- I finished the booklet for the eclipse badge.
- I've started on the friendship bracelet making patch.
- I've started on the coloring book badge (and bought a little coloring book just for that project).
- I want to do the Day at the Zoo patch.
- I plan to do the Ageplay pin (this one might need some adjustment to be for a multiple/little instead of a kink/little).
- and we got a new ASL badge we're definitely going to do.

And I've started plans for doing some special ones:
- One for bootblacking, which is something I've been doing for a while.
- One for making things out of leather (the big one will be making a sash!).
- One for brickbuilding (I already have a blog with lots of builds).

On all of them, the parts that scare me the most are the parts that say to teach something to someone else or make a presentation. Sometimes it looks like sharing it online will be okay, and I can do that. But trying to plan being out around people, and then doing stuff with them, that can be hard. Knowing I have to talk people makes me anxious, and anxiety makes it hard for me to be out. Or might get me stuck out.

Even on the parts that aren't scary, it may take a while to do some, just because of when I might be out or not. I've been out two nights in a row now, and I might be able to get out tomorrow, or it could be weeks before I'm out again. No way to know. So it's hard to plan time to do stuff. But I'm trying to use a lot of stuff I've already done or been working on, so I might be able to get some things before long.

  1. I decided I'm not doing the Ageplay pin, after all. I really don't identify as an age-player. I'm just that age, so it doesn't apply to me like that.
